The methods he used to find solutions and overcome his problems were diverse. Some of it was through his own thinking and reflecting on life, some through academia, some through learning from other people in his surroundings and their experience, and some through observation and self-analysis. He has done this also through reading great books and sometimes awful books, and by trying to implement the knowledge he had gathered, to his own life’s situations.

This path of self-development had helped him to: defend himself in dangerous street situations because of his background as a competitive athlete in martial arts; cultivate communication skills, which led him to develop great friendships and romantic relationships with women; build leadership skills and mental toughness and becoming a squad leader and later on a member of a Special Elite unit of the IDF; nurture an entrepreneurial mindset which enabled him at a young age of 23 to start his first profitable business with his brother; improve learning abilities and tap to the use of his will power to accomplish a University Management degree with Honors.

All of this seems nice, but this process of personal development also has a dangerous dark side not many people talk about. This may include matters like: striving for a beautiful future that is far away and neglecting the now, and as a result, finding yourself miserable in the present; constantly comparing yourself to other so called “successful” people and as a consequence experiencing the continuous feeling of deep dissatisfaction with your life, in spite of the fact that you are actually making good progress. One may also find himself deeply absorbed by negative emotions like: self-hatred, bitterness, loneliness, hopelessness and despair.

This dark side may be awakened by many different factors, some of which can be: unnecessary pressure you put on yourself to achieve certain results; incorrect goal setting with the use of will power against your sole’s wish; not understanding your inner values correctly and as a result, setting up your priorities wrongly; not knowing the difference between someone who is a “real person” and a fraud, and being influenced by roll models who are pretenders; being too sensitive to your surroundings who expect you to be someone you are not, and because of that, unleashing destructive criticism on you, which eventually penetrates under your shield and makes a lot of damage.

At times, all of these and more can bring a human being to various breaking points and devastating results that may take many years to recover from. It happened also in Victor’s life.

These and many other various experiences throughout life, both positive and negative, have helped Victor to shape his own life philosophy – a system of values and rules that really works for him in his reality.

Although some of his stuff may seem as contradictory and conflicting at times, all that can be said is that life is full of conflicts and contradictions, and most of the difficulties we encounter in life are placed somewhere in the gray area.

With that said, all of this is a working material that Victor had personally tested and used on various occasions and at different stages throughout life.

Victor’s philosophy is all about Self-Improvement in an External and in an Internal manner and also in Finding Meaning in The Struggle of becoming the person you deeply want to become.
